    Really?

Must be the extra harmonics from running on 3 power tubes!

I think their definition of recent and ours are vastly far apart. I’m sure with some TLC that thing would roar again.

Yeah, the kind of dust that makes amps smoke and fuses blow.

That's pretty funny. Those who know will know alright, know the tube has lost vacuum and is toast, glowing aside. Great amp bad tube or not, just needs actual service..not "well the power light stays on and it don't blow no fuses" service.

He's right, those that know amps will see past it, and figure the cost of new output tubes into the price. Not necessarily a deal breaker, but I wouldn't even power that amp up, until that tube (or all) was replaced.

This thing is a hack job, not worth 900 pounds.

I guess it is more a question of clarity and honesty, but it seems anyone can tell porkies and get away with it, ask Donald and Boris.

That blown power tube is one way to limit the watts it puts out. Think of it as a vacuum operated master volume.

Funnily enough here is a nice looking Laney Supergroup 100:

I presume the new tubes are the old Pinnacles laid out in front (note one has lost its flashing) then take a peek at the amp and presumably the new ones on the amp - V4 has blown, maybe same socket as the worn out one. My guess is a screen resistor has gone and taken new valve too?
