...yes, it's a Club and Country 4145
What can I say - I like it, your mileage may vary
We don't roast folks here unless you like Nickleback, don't like Slash Tonez or think a Plexi is too loud!
Welcome aboard, Nik.
...what? No roasting? But...
Shes "Brown Oak" tolex with straw coloured speaker cloth.
She has the words "Club" and "Country" in her name.
Before that, Rose Morris called her "Reverb Twin".
And she's Rose Morris era, as in 1978.
Well... y'all are TOO kind
Tell us about it.Is it a 4x10? Does it have reverb?I think Id love plugging my pedalboard into that.
What can I tell you - 4145 JMP Club and Country, 100W 4x10" combo from '78 with Celestion T3137 (I guess G10-50). ECC83 Send/Return reverb, all pretty much straight out of the factory and then kicked around the circuit by some guys called "The Raiders" about whom I know nothing other than that the singer is now in a Johnny Cash tribute band. The Raiders used her on an EP:-
"The Raiders" by The Raiders (catchy, what!)
A Two Cold Potatoes And A Bottle Of Wine
B1 Coffee Coloured Cadillac
B2 Barking Up The Wrong Tree (a Don Woody cover)
Produced by Andy Partridge
She must be in a state of shock now, after all that, she's just blues noodling or finger-pickin' - but loud.
we'll roast you for not supplying a better picture... ...
JK! The site doesn't let n00b's post files/links. Maybe you can now? (you might need 10 posts)
to the forum...
Trust me, DoD - that picture is flattering, she's old and tired and doesn't mind who knows. Haven't looked at posting images and stuff - I guess I can post vid/audio to The Toob of Yew and from there to here... THEN you can roast me
In lieu of roasting we need to see gut shots, Please.
All kinda shots will come soon as I a) get enough free time and b) put the guitar down long enough for her to cool down...
Gut-shots uploaded - thread started in "Marshall Amps" forum...
No! You don't mod this! Return it to its loud clean glory! That's why there are pedals. And Im a dude that loves metal sounding guitars.
Regardless of whether you or anyone else gives me "permission" to modify her, or not, I have NO INTENTION of doing anything to her other than putting working knobs on her, contact cleaner in the scratchy pots, five older, better Mullard ECC83's in her (done - a great improvement in noise level AND 'sound'...) and (in time...) replacing the power tubes (#3/4 is going microphonic which, in my experience, suggests going tits up sometime soon...). Currently deciding between the GEC KT66 sound she has now or the more "Marshall" EL34 option. Can't stand "metal", high-gain bores me, and I have just enough pedals to get me where I want.
And you say "Return it to its loud clean glory!" - well, she's already there, as several neighbours will attest ( and I live out in the boondocks )
Of course you can do what you want with it. Was just a passionate suggestion. People put Floyd roses on les pauls. It don't matter to me.
You’re going to love it here
