And so does this guy:
My favorite solo of all time.
All my fingers blew. Now I need to go to Les Shwab for a new set.
RR was absolutely great
Rhoads was amazing in my opinion.
Makes me wonder where he would be today, had he not passed.
He had some awesome chops
I couldnt take that tone though
I saw him the weekend before I graduated from HS
Fast Eddie's tone was better
Alvis , I guess I must ignore the tone because I always liked Randy better . I did like Eddie but for musical style I would listen Ozzy over Van Halen all day any day and I saw Randy while he was in Quite Riot ( I didn'T know who he was then )
Another thing is I always hear people say on this site is how simple and boring pentatonic scales are but this is an example of why I disagree .
Let me clarify
I meant Fast Eddie Clarke ,not EVH ....as Motorhead were the opening act when I saw Ozzy
Motorhead was very loud . I saw them once , great live show .
Pretty much perfect solo! This guy shreds...
Dude nailed it!
He sure does, I might be an exception, but I gotta say I liked Randy’s tone, I caught the blizzard of Ozzy tour at the swing auditorium, my buddy Del and I were always going back forth about who was better, you know EVH or Randy
Charveldan that vid of Randy playing is the shitz , the crazy thing about that polka dot v is that2 of my budies in the early 80’s had coustom made explores , I wanted to have my strat routed for a humbucker and the guy who had built my buddy’s explorer’s is the guy we went to his name was Carl Sandoval
I had no idea that he was the one who built Randy’s V it was there and I asked to play it , I did but sadly no magic wore off onto me or my playing ablitys
It never dawned on me that Carl was the builder of his guitar, duh it has only been in the last 6 years that I have learned he was the luthier
when I saw the BoO tour, Motorhead was just a loud rumble w/ Lemmy yelling over it. You just heard rumble, kick/snare & "the ACE of SPADES!" over & over... ...
Fastway had a good tone.
I like what Randy got w/ Max Norman. There's a lot of different sounds & they used some extreme EQ in spots to separate things & keep it from getting cluttered up. Funny though, the only guitar I didn't like the tone of was the Sandoval V. Sounded woolly, like someone put a blanket over the speakers...
Here's the shirt I had, that some chick wore more than me...
