I have the MXR 10-band EQ and the jubilee. And i need a boost for some songs like November rain, Estranged, and a little of Knockin' on heavens door. Would that be the best to boost solos or i have been looking at the MXR mc401. I like the 10 band eq for the stuff i need it for, but i feel like the mc401 gives it a little bit more volume boost while the 10 band eq gives it a little bit of a gain boost IMO. What's a good verdict on this one?

get a JVM and use Master Volume 2 as your "boost"

volume or gain boost? Im not sure how the slides work on the mxr but put the level above normal volume in front for gain, in the loop for volume boost

If you have the Jube you're halfway there. Just me but if you're looking for a boost for solo's only A good clean boost pedal will probably get you there. I wouldnt even mess with the eq.

Ten band EQ is great for the songs i named, but then there are sometimes when i just want a clean boost.

i've seen that, but the mc401 is just one knob for the db level. Have you ever tried that, because i heard that's a clean boost but i never played one in person.

The MC402 has the same clean boost as the MC401 but offers the addition of an overdrive.

When I play with my Jube, I put the MXR MC-401 as a solo (volume) boost for solos, works really well in the loop actually.

Have your same thing. I have a Jube and the 10 band and use an ep boost for solos.

I was just thinking of putting all the sliders on 0 and just raise the volume an gain sliders a little bit.
