Hi, today, my a month old dsl20hr developed flashing of power switch. It flashes slow like the red light is on for 15 seconds and OFF for 20 seconds, sometimes faster, sometimes slower.
It is only cosmetic and has no influence on the sound.
anyone knowing what could cause it and if it will fix "itself" ?
    Thanks

If possible return the amp to the vendor for warrantee service.
The switch will probably need to be replaced. No it will not fix itself.

My 2104 had that same problem, I replaced the switch and a month later it was dead, not the amp just the light in the switch, in 1979 I just said to hell with the light!
    Cheers Mitch

thank you guys for your input. I was offered a return for a refund should there be a problem with this second head (the first returned head had a weird windy poppy noise), but I will give it one week, because late last night and today the light went off/on/off for a bit and then came back on and stayed on, so I wonder if some sort of caps were excessively drained when I once forgot to put the head into standby before switching off , that is when the trouble with the light started, then i tried to cure the problem with what it caused it but that did not help but now the light is staying on again, so a bit of a head scratcher if to return it, but it would be a refund as the dealer has said in their last email. they were not informed about the power switch light issue yet.

Hi, so the head was returned to the dealer and sent to Marshall for repairs and returned to me sometime in October 2019. The light worked until 30th January 2020. Now the problem is back.
The power switch light lights up for 20? seconds and goes off.
I am thinking to return it for refund if it is still possible. Either this head is cursed or the model is cursed or even Marshall in England does shabby repairs. Not sure what to do.

I wonder which model of the DSL line is sold the most and which is the most reliable one. My bewilderment with Marshall has not fully dwindled yet.

    Just a wee update.

Yesterday the amp was collected by the DPD courier.
The amp will be repaired under warranty with the same fault again. I hope the amp will arrive to Marshall in good order It was packaged in the original box and cushioning. I saw the courier person throwing parcels in her van, even one parcel fell off on the pavement.

Now regarding the power switch light, it would stay on just for about 13 seconds. In the dark I noticed when all the lights in my room were off, the switch started to glow dimly after maybe an hour and half into my practice. The glow was so faint, definitely not visible enough to be considered working.

Perhaps the flashing is a message in Morse code?

The message reads: "buy more Marshalls...buy more Marshalls..."

It must have had a subliminal effect, because I did not pay attention to the message, but last night I put my vox valvetronix+ on gumtree and looked for more marshalls. Damn ! this is mind control !

There is actually 6 levels of subliminal messages, all disguised as photos of guitar amps.
The more you look at the photos, the more GAS you get.
