Played A Baseball Bat Neck For The First Time In My Life

    Those of us with fat hands and fingers can’t comfortably play the thin necks and narrow fret boards. ymmv

    Is that the measure at the 12th fret or the 1st? There must be some taper, right?

    I'm not too particular about thickness but really chunky necks are probably my least favorite. I do find I prefer 1 5/8 nut width.
    I find neck sizes confusing when looking at guitars online. Not enough ads give measurements. Terms like Baseball Bat of 60s Slim Neck really mean nothing to me.

    Measured at nut....a little over 1" at the heel

    i guess it depends on how you play...thumbs over the big e players ( a la hendrix) seem to like fat necks and shredders with their almost classical technique: likes skinner necks...(thumb under)

    I think that's right but fat next can't be squared off at the shoulders like the 1955 Epiphone custom it's just a bit too much as a thumb wrapping player
