Hadn't plugged in the DSL for a while and no idea what the settings were. Plugged in the ethos hit a chord and the darned thing is killer. I was so paranoid about losing the sound I photographed all the settings. If I never get a better sound that'll be just fine with me. Of course this is at home. Soon as I turn it up everything will change I guess.

They do sound great...very organic, and the DSL reacts well to tweaks. I have mine modded with aftermarket transformers and a choke. Keep the bias cool, not too hot like Marshall originally recommended and it stays tight. Chinese power tubes and the Tungsol 34Bs sound the best. Love the red OD1 channel...People complain it's thin...no way! Turn up the master volume and it's killer..fat loud, clear and thick!

I suspect it is an Overdrive Pedal (TWE-1). @purpleplexi has mentioned them before.

Yep, love the DSL tone & feel.
Every time I play mine, I'm side eyeing my other more expensive amps and asking them to prove their worth.
