Hi, my name is Ron and I live in Connecticut. I have been playing Marshalls since I was 16 and I will be 56 in May. Had JCM800 2203's 2204s, Jubilee, 900SL-X, JCM2000DSL100 and now I have a JVM205H w/ 4x12 slant. (EDIT: Way back when I was 16, I had an original unmodded Major that I used a Traynor cab with)

I just play now for my own entertainment (and the wife's annoyance)

How I found this place? I have visited briefly for many years but finally decided to join the fray. I am on the hunt for a foot switch that is compatible with my 205H head

I am already a very longtime member of MyLesPaul, Dean Guitars Forum and Audio Karma with same user name

Currently, I play my beloved Gibson '76 RI Explorer that I have owned for about 10 years now. I have sold so many guitars it would make you cry as well as many amps

You only live once, try 'em all I say

    Thanks for having me!

Was going to say, "Welcome to the forum" until I scrolled down and saw that Peavey!!!!!
You need to move that Peavey and re-take that pic!
    Just kidding, LOL!
    Welcome to the forum!
BTW, I remember when I was about 35 a friend of mine had one of those 5150 combos. That has got to be one of the heaviest amps ever made! Don't move it, you will throw your back out :)

Yep, it weighs 100lbs and I have casters installed on it for moving it around easily. It has seen a lot of work over the years hence it looks pretty gnarly with the cloth. I have to take it apart to clean that stuff up

It's good to have 6L6GC and EL34 amps around depending on what I am playing. I have had the Peavey for at least 10 years now. I got it after I sold the Framus Cobra and Framus Dragon heads

Good news, picked up a foot switch for the 205H off eBay this evening for a little over $70 shipped. That just uses a standard guitar cable right? I have never had a foot switch that did not have it's own cable directly attached
