and you would pay extra for this? seriously?
Steve , what else you practice in the dark ?
Looks like a pineapple
I know it sounds crazy to pay for something that has a practical value as opposed to something that has the fashionable colour, brand or signature on it, but yes, I would. ( I'd modify a neck like this myself in under 15 minutes + the nitros drying time)
Looks cool but my hands would be too conscious about the marks on the neck.
That's all about friction, or reducing it too.
For those of you who don't know, it's twice as tight and 10 degrees hotter
Using the other hand probably
Well then, as OP says, you'd really be full of shit.
What happens if your sweating all over the place.
Edit: I just noticed thats been mentioned.
Best post of the day . Reminds of when I was a kid partying late at night and driving Dad's Buick and falling asleep and being awoken by the ugly metal sound on concrete when I trashed the passengers side hubcaps and lucky for me that's all it was and then had to pay for 2 new hubcaps from Buick . Dad was pretty cool back then Bless his Soul as for all the damage and destruction that I did to his vehicles and to others with Dad's car . Back on point I would rather have a regular gloss finish on the back of the neck only because that is what I am used to . I also believe in choices so if one likes it go for it .
For the textured feel for more sensation for the ladies
That's considered cheating
Well , I’m not trying to be negative but that’s a not a great idea . There’s no way anyone can count the marks say jumping from 3rd to 15th fret fast . No real need for dots or inlays on the face of the fretboard really , you can only see the dots on the top edge of the fretboard when playing anyway.
Remember here that a person uses these markers/indentations whatever along with the other usual methods of determining where your hand is. With this tool, with sight and with arm memory/feel all combined you have a much better chance of knowing exactly where you are.
It's like driving, you use mirrors but you also swivel around for a more accurate spatial picture of what's around you
i think we are looking at the future with this idea.
the fretboard is like a road map. i much rather see where im driving rather then have to feel my way down the road.
the one gets me where im going as fast as i need to get there. the other causes a traffic jam.
Solid reasoning !
I would hate to have to clean that thing
That'd be kinda like one of those French Wigglers no?
