That's right NSD! I got a 2nd hand Celestion G12M-65 Creamback today, should have it in a day or so in the mail. The real fun will be designing a 1x12 cab for my SV20H, I looked at the SV cab and the 1912, both have slightly different dimensions and are designed slightly different so it should be fun experimenting with the different features to come up with something that sounds good to me. The main differences are the 1912 is MDF and ported in the front with a closed back, the SV is all ply with an open back. If anybody has these cabs I'd appreciate you weighing in and tell me what you like or dislike about your cabs. :yesway:

Right now I have my SV20H going through a 2x12 of greenbacks, I thought it be fun to put together a small cab I can carry on my own, my kids are getting older they won't be around to help drag gear out of the basement forever LOL.

I’ve never heard one in person but people love it. I’ll be curious how it sounds at high volume compared to the 25 watt greenback. 25 watt chinese Greenbacks really shine cranked but I don’t like them much at low volume. I’m pretty sure the cream back will sound better quiet, but is it still better loud?

I'd love to hear it. I have the 75Hz version and it's my fave speaker right now (have a V30 and GT75's).

What a good looking speaker, it oozes quality just like all Celestions! First impression it sounds like a greenback but with more high end, this is at low volume and in that crappy Orange cab, I'll try it in my MDF bass cab next which is an actual 1x12. Hopefully this weekend I'll have time to put a new box together with the dimensions and material I want. :yesway:

My bass cab is actually particle board LOL, I must have built it out of old crap that was laying around. The creamback sounded pretty good in it none of that high end I was talking about, it sounded like a greenback. I'm gonna find some 3/4" baltic birch ply and build a proper cab for this speaker. :yesway:
