    Hi,

new to the Marshall forums, new to Marshall amps but not new to forums or guitaring in general.

Came here mostly to find advice on Marshall amplifiers, isn't a lot more to say about that is there?

I have actually never owned a Marshall amplifier. I may have played through one at some point but I honestly can not remember. So why Marshall? well, because I'm currently looking at options for a second amp and quite honestly Marshall seems to make the prettiest options. Because when you're reserving space in the living room for guitars and amplifiers, looks actually matter and a half stack just looks right. We will see where that goes...

    Welcome aboard!
You've come to the right place 'cause there are a lot of interior decorators contributing to this Forum!!!

Not only does a half stack Marshall sound fantastic they look fantastic as well.
Lots of suggestions and photos to come however we will need to know what kind of music you will be playing in order to get you the perfect amp.

Think 80's/90's hair metal. Bon Jovi, Europe, Def Leopard and so on. Kee Marcello's tone for the Superstitious solo is one of the tones I sort of aim for. For cleaner sounds think Richie Kotzen's intro for Until you suffer some. And then blend in various in-betweens depending on my mode.

As much as I love the idea of finally getting a tube amp, I'm thinking a modelling amp with plenty of easily reached custom presets (it kind of bugs me having to go through the settings every time I switch guitar, as I currently do) would be a better place to start, adding a tube head later.

Modelling?? Oh jeez now you've opened a can of worms!!!
And as all things, generally speaking, it comes down to money.
If you want to spend 4 digits worth which gets you top if the line modelling of basically every amp you can think of.
    Kemper Profiler Stage /
    or Helix or Axe.
    A 3 digit expenditure gets you many choices:Katana / Marshall Code / Fender / Line 6
Boss Katana vs Fender Champion 50XL"

Go to the 9 minute mark if you wish to avoid their chat.
Chances are you have probably researched these already.
Am certain plenty of suggestions will roll in from the MFr's.
    Good luck.

    welcome to the Marshall ZONE!!!!

what kind of music you play?
how much money you want to expend?
do you need to move the amp often?
do you play in a band or just bed room level?
    do you hate your neighbors?

there is one amp to satisfy every case , but mostly all of them can deal your neighbors!!!

Bon Jovi, Kee Marcello-era Europe, Whitesnake, GnR and so on
As little as possible but as much as necessary I suppose around the $600 mark
    No, not really
No band but I might manage to be atypical of myself and have people over to jam
Not fond of my neighbours but I do enjoy my hearing. Not living in an apartment and the livingroom is surrounded by other rooms (or will be very soon) so sound levels aren't too critical.
