Is it me or do they sound pretty bad?
I don't think they sound bad for a combo amp.......But, I don't get it? Why don't they use that room with all the 4x12s that the previous guy used doing vids.
Just a wild guess here: Doesn't most guys want to hear what it sounds like with a 4x12 and cranked??? or maybe I just weird
Really?? I thought he showed a good representation of what that amp could do with a lot of different pedals. I heard a lot of tones I liked.
That's exactly how I want to hear it.
I just ordered an Origin 20 watt head and I'm going to run it through a 412. If you got it, why not use it?
I believe it has already been established that Marshall DOES NOT do good demos.
Michael why don't you do a decent search and present the BEST demo's of the Origin that you've found ? You know...instead of the worst.
Franky it ain't you ! In terms of recording and dialing in this amp these guys haven't got a clue!
Thanks. I don’t need much just a nice loud Marshall base Led Zep 2 tone that I can push with a tube screamer for a solo or push with another pedal for a bit more hair. I can’t be alone in this. No video had even tried.
The Zep stuff broke my heart it was so bad.
All of it was bad parody of songs but he was doing ok with the tones.
To me it sounds a bit top heavy, kind of Blat! Blat! Blat. I wanted to hear a bit more body and lows. So far the Andertons video sounded best for the 50. Seems like the speakers are too small in the rest of the combos. I'm leaning towards a DSL40CR now. Sounds more ballsy with the new stock V Type speaker while being much more versatile.
He was using a pedal for the Zep. Why? He should be able to just crank it up imo. Isn’t that how you use a 20 w one chan amp with a band. He was bedroom playing. Get a code for that.
Sorry Franky...No Zep demos yet.
Here's a few demo's which y'all may have heard already.

The Origin dookie mod
Meh.. sounds pretty sterile to me. Cleans and gain sounds. If they are the best example clips so far then I say these models definitely don't live up to the hype.
Maybe they can be good as a pedal platform.. but why buy a Marshall if you are going to use it for a pedal platform?
I just think there are much better sounding Marshalls that these ones (from what I have heard online). I haven't played one, but come on.. there are alot of clips avail right now and I haven't heard one where I have thought 'man I love that tone'
Meh. most of the demos of the Origin are garbage but imo no fault of the amps.
Yes I presented vids that I thought presented the Origin in a better light than the majority out there so far.
Sterile ? Keep in mind that the amp has been designed to present a tone prevalent from over 50 years ago for less than a grand. You may just be raised on the modern day amp sound which this amp will not give you.
I agree, I am not looking for a pedal platform either.
Yeah I'm' thinking nobody hyped this amp as the best sounding Marshall out there.
Yeah I believe that the Origin will give the tone I want to hear. I have heard it but imo the amp (50W) is yet to be properly presented.
OK this player is better.
Gotta love the Epi Custom PRO though.
Why don't you sell your Peaveys and buy an Origin and post YOUR vid that isn't garbage??? You can then prove to the rest of us how great the Origin is, in your opinion!
