You may want to take note of this if you haven't heard already. As of Dec 10 if you have mags over 10 round capacity you are now a felon if you haven't turned them in.

    Please keep this non political.

No reports of anyone turning them in yet. Going to be interesting to see how they enforce this.

Prisonable up to 18 months and loss of right to own a firearm, nationwide. It's all in that link in the OP.

No, you're still right on-track about New York. The days of getting "caught between the moon and New York City" romance-style are long gone. To me the city's a dump. So what's left is the Upstate side, and between the Catskills, the Adirondacks and a few places in between, the state is one big lop of sh!t economically and politically. Oh, it's still beautiful, make no mistake about that, and a lot of towns are still the stuff of rural dreamscapes. But it won't be long now before we'll have to register with the State so we can hike up Hunter Mountain, Prospect mountain, Fifth Peak and Mount Marcy and Thacher's Park (if they can manage to keep that historical, beautiful park from closing down and becoming the next mega-concrete empire).

New York is weird today. It's like this diabolical place where a lot of things may look the same as they did 40 or 50 years ago, but the charm is disappearing.

I dunno. Maybe you know. I dunno.

I really dont see why anyone needs a gun that holds 10 or more shells??? Hower, my point and concern is that the real crimanls will not thurn them in the which makes the situation worse and tge Government will never ever stop Criminals from having guns unless ever single gun on earth is destroyed which isnt going to happen.

    In countries that outlaw weapons:
the murder rate is almost non-existent.

So I'm afraid that this argument against weapon control just doesn't hold up in reality.

It may not be what you want (gun control), but it works better than anything else.

In the mean-time, school children are being shot down in the classroom.

Weapon controls will win, eventually. That day is coming it's inevitable.

"We're 21 weeks into 2018, and there have already been 23 school shootings where someone was hurt or killed. That averages out to more than 1 shooting a week.

The parameters CNN followed in this count are:
    • A shooting that involved at least one person being shot (not including the shooter)
    • A shooting that occurred on school grounds
    • We included grades K through college/university level
    • We included gang violence, fights and domestic violence
    • We included accidental discharge of a firearm as long as the first two parameters are met"

Key point you mention “other countries”...the USA is different. Outlawing guns, nah, dont see it working here. To many on the black market.

It would probably stop little Pissed off Johnny from grabing a gun from Daddys collection and shooting up a school but thats not solving the real issue here. In these cases theres much more going on than just the gun issue.

Maybe a simple law. Any crime at all done with a gun present or being fired is the death penalty no questions asked...simple.

    California is next......

It is just ridiculous as to what this country is turning into. Might aswell throw out the first amendment as well, might as well just throw away everything else because once the 2nd is gone, government can do whatever the fuck they want since there will be no real threat from the citizens.

I get that there are anti 2A members here, no problem with that. I agree it will go away in the future as well as the other rights following.

This post was made to alert members that may not have heard of this law. I do have a problem with a law being penned in making a million law abiding citizens felons overnight. It's another step.

This thread will be gone shortly no doubt.
