This isn't SOZO! Probably have better luck if you contact them directly and not yell at them on a completely unrelated forum!

What are talking about dude!! 7 month's of directly contacting SoZo (the company! Not on here!) But your right! I should learn to shut my mouth! Gone are the day's of customer service! Hell would these companies even be in business without a customer? Look at the shit Gibson is in (off topic RANT!!) Haven't supplied a guitar to the Australian market in 12 month's but needs global support in these hard time's? I was told today by a man in the know that Gibson won't be around in 2019! He suggested buy what you can now? Any way I'm going back to sniff my lacquer thinners

There is no Sozo. It's CED.
This is a name they put on products from Miec, a company that makes capacitors in India.
    They re-label those as "sozo."
That's why they won't show the specifications.

That cap they sell for 9.95 costs 1.25 in the Miec catalog.

If you want Sozo, order the caps from Miec.
    The Miec catalog is here:
    http://www.justradios.com/capacitors.html

Of course I'm joking, and totally serious.

Miec was the only one who had 600V filter caps, and I stuck em' in and ran it.
    Not bad.

Yep I bet your on the money with this one ampmadscientist I've been buying capacitors from a guy in Russia! And Vishay a bit but without testing them properly they may be absolutely crap? My mates dad actually told me to try peeling my capacitors! He said I'd be surprised at what's under them?

I WONT be using ANY SOZO product again

These caps are rebranded 1000v CDE caps!!
The specs, looks and size are the same as CDE spec sheet. The only difference is CDE's catalog doesn't have the lesser common values of 250 and 500p. 220p, 270p and 470p, 560p are available. SOZO didn't do any real testing or replicating the old vintage flat Micas from the 60's. Complete marketing scam.

I guess DZ (word on the street anyways) claims regular sozos are just Mallorys 150's.

There is no "Sozo." I think it's just a fictitious name on a re-branded capacitor.

I think so too. Sad part is they were originally sold as "hand rolled" and probably weren't.
Also, the shapes weren't even in the same dimensions of Mustards when I built a 18 watt I was quite baffled when comparing the two brands I had on hand. Clone, replica, what ever.

Their cool Led Zeppelin-esque logo they used to use added to the mystique...

Are you suggesting Sozo is on the gozo?
Yeah, I did notice that Led Zep Script.

This fish is dead, but not smelly enough.

I just ordered some Vishay Dale resistors from Digi-Key and need to contemplate caps now. I have Mallory 150s and Sozos on hand. I have used they Mallory's with good results. Never tried the Sozos, but since I already have all I need I would be out $0.

And: is there another brand I should be looking at?

This is going to be a 50 watt EL34 build with a solid state rectifier. Prolly going to get a custom built turret board as well.

    Bring out yer dead.

If its a Plexi then NOS Mustards (if they are even real lol) but 150s are great.

I guess it will come down to which brand do I have enough of to finish the build. I don't want a jumbled mess and I doubt I could hear a difference anyway.

Every legitimate part has a spec sheet from the manufacturer.
If the vendor will not reveal the specifications (including country of manufacture) then I begin to question if the part is legitimate.

    I
    will
    only use
    capacitors made from
unobtanium foil kept apart by dragon's dropping dilectric.
Nothing else, but NOTHING, even comes close for musicality, linearity and capacitor mystique bullshit.

Cool. I had never heard of them before. Just printed out a data sheet and now I have something to research today while nobody buys motorcycles in Minnesota.
