Gorgeous amp. Nice build. I gave it a 1 hr work out. I had an Maxon OD 808 in front, a cheap but useful delay in loop, plugged into to a Friedman 4x12. Played both 20 and 5 watt mode.

It nails that sound. Not only the sound but the feel. Amazing. It’s a plexi. I played to backing tracks and had the room hoping. At 5W was good to go. Went to 20W and was a bit surprised. It’s not a loud 20W. I would not be able to gig with this amp unless mic’d Up. I really don’t care but worth noting and I heard this from another review.

I played Hendrix, Rhodes, Blackmore, Page and Angus young tunes. Absolutely delivers the sound. I played with the EQ. Started with everything dimed. That actually works. Now tweaking it.

Some comparisons to Amps I’ve owned- I like better than Class V though my Class 5 was wicked loud and it’s very different from Astoria. I liked Astoria but this SV20H really is the sound and “the goods baby”

Bottom line -Homerun by Marshall. This is the amp I was waiting for.

Excellent dude. Really happy to hear that report on the amp. Surprised by the lack of volume though. It's one of the things Marshall is all about. Strange eh?

If it’s not loud enough to gig, you might consider the cab and speakers you’re using.

Mine played at 20 watts through a 2061cx with G12H Greenbacks is very close in volume to my 50 watt plexi through a basketweave with G12Ms.

It’s a Friedman 4x12 with 2 Creambacks and two greenbacks......all stock. I will try another cab later. It’s definitely not Marshall loud.

I will try some things out and get back on volume. To be clear it’s not bedroom but my last drummer would drown this out.

    Thanks! Much appreciated

Thanks guys. Put this down to human error! 16 ohm cab but pluged into 8 ohm on amp. Set it up properly and it has noticeably more volume. It’s moving a lot more air. At 5W walls are shaking.

I also notice on mine a mismatch sounds horrible and correct match is heavenly.

Ok that makes more sense, I was wondering about what you said about it not being loud. I know that my JCM800 Studio is loud and the MKll Studio has to be at least as loud as that. So your comments left me a bit bewildered, especially the part where you said "it's not a loud 20 watts".

Enjoy your amp in good health!

I’ve gigged the SC a couple times now. Anything it can’t handle should be run through FOH anyway.

Nice score OP! I’ll grab one of these soon, they look fantastic
