    Studio Classic combo is 32 lbs.
    Can also go to 5 watts as well.

    This guy has great tone in all his videos imo. I think this particular one is the best sounding video for the Origin 20 that I’ve heard!

    Okay, guys, final question. The negotation will work out, so I'm pretty much sure that I will be buying the 4001 - Studio 15 Marshall.

    Comparison between a 4010 JCM800 and 4001 Studio 15:

    Marshall Studio 15 – 4001; Marshall JCM800 – 4010;

    Weight: 16 kg 23 kg

    Width: 43 cm 58 cm

    Height: 47 cm 49 cm

    Depth: 25 cm 25 cm

    Now, if a compare the Studio 15 to the new Studio Classic SC20 combo or the Studio Vintage SV20 combo:

    Marshall Studio 15 – 4001; Marshall Studio Classic or Vintage combo;

    Weight: 16 kg 15 kg

    Width: 43 cm 46 cm

    Height: 47 cm 51 cm

    Depth: 25 cm 25 cm

    The Studio 15 has a 12" Celestion speaker, the Studio Classic/Vintage has only a 10" Celestion.

    Also, I can buy the Studio 15 around €250,- cheaper than the Studio Classic/Vintage combo.

    So, I'm doing good by choosing the Studio 15, right?

    I've had a studio 15 (converted to 2203 preamp.. that in itself is a different thread) for 25 years... the small size tend to make it boxy ( baffle/ cone size ratio mainly). Which is why people shouldn't dismiss the 10 in the studio classic( and why a 10 in a tweed champ makes them sound smaller than with the stock 8). One speaker that worked well in this tiny cab is a 12 eminence I pulled from a line6 flextone 2x12 extension cab
    Enjoy your new amp..

    For a really cheap and portable option buy a Joyo British pedal and put it in to the front end of a clean solid state amp (usually available at the rehearsal room).

    Using the Joyo as a preamp pedal you can can put your favourite pedals of choice before and after it.

    The Studio 15 is another great little amp but not really in the JCM800 territory IMO. Don't get me wrong, it's a great sounding amp and may work for your situation. I wish i never sold mine.

    I'm not sure it has it's own character. Not quite heavy/gainy enough to be JCM.

    I'm picking up my Marshall Studio 15 this week.. In the meanwhile I saw this popping up and bought it immediately. It sounds soooo nice. Totally different than my Marshall JCM800, but for blues and for those hot clean tones, this is the perfect one.

    It has two channel, a the slightly hotter channel had volume, treble and bass. The second channel is for clean tones and it has volume, treble, mids, bass, reverb, and vibrato (speed and depth). It also has a Pentode/Triode switch on the back...

    And.. It looks soooo nice..

    That's a sweet looking rig there, looks to be in fantastic condition, too. I'm not familiar with Gibson amps but have to imagine this has a sweet tone to it. Any chance to post some sound clips here? What kind of speakers in the combo and cabinet?

    You think a 4010 is heavy try dragging around a 4104. Buy mine it will come with a set of nads.

    Dutch guy here as well, with the same problem (JCM800 4010 too heavy).

    Many years ago I bought myself 1 early 5210 at €75,- and left it at our rehearsal-room.

    Now I have three; 1 at rehearsal-room, 1 to take with me for gigs and 1 donor for parts. And I never needed #3 so I guess that says something about the durability of the 5210.

    And they also have this wonnnderful 80's mojo with white piping and all.

    BTW, my main sound-control is in my Line6 Pod XT Live/HD300/HD500x.

    I have a 5010 at home in Bosnia. Love that amp.

    If I leave anything at the rehearsal place it will get stolen or damaged.

    20 hours left and Im picking up the Studio 15!

    Here it is! Like new, the Studio 15 is from 1989, bought it from the first owner, didn't left his house and I even got the original receipt with it when he bought it back in 1991!
