Crate BV-412S no idea what year it is. Traded a Fender Mustang 1, little Pedaltrain board and $40 at Music Go Round. It is blue. Just going to clean the tolex, replace the metal grill with black grill cloth and put in 4 stock 1960b cab speakers from the mid-2000s that I have sitting around.

Boo already has it mostly apart. Really is all nice plywood with a particleboard back. The casters are long gone, so I added some feet I had laying around. Handles and cab corners are steel. Can be run stereo 8 ohm, 4 ohm mono or 16 ohm mono. Stock speakers do look like crap. Not even going to bother trying them.

The steel mesh is held on by 4 furniture brads just in the corners. The baffle is covered with black felt to keep the screen from rattling. Every one of the screws was tight as f**k. Time to staple on the cloth.

Only the back. Everything else is plywood. It is really sturdy and I really like the metal handles and corners.

Nice work. I love a good DIY project. They're fun and its rewarding to bring something forgotten back to life. Let us know how it sounds with your new modded head.

P.S. What is it with cats that all have to be up in whatever we're doing? I have two and I love them dearly but they are characters. The dominant one is always first to jump on top of or into said project, and the other one has to immediately go to sleep on it once the other one is done checking it out. Goofy animals for sure. LOL

My cat thinks he's a dog. Part of the Siamese thing. I have my TSL100 on it right now and sounds pretty good. These drivers seem to favor heavy overdrive which the 900 does in spades now. Prolly swap them tonight. There's another one of these cabs at the Roseville MGR for $80. I'm sorely tempted.

Please pardon the drunk playing. 2017 blueberry burst LP Standard with SD Seth Lover pups into my 1990 JCM 900 MKIII 2100 heavily modified (both gains about 4 o'clock) and volume under 1. Wifey is in bed. nothing in the loop. In fact I forgot to plug a jumper into the loop. Cheers.
