Hope there is something great from Marshall this year.

I mean.... the Origin series is good, but didn’t make me want to spend money in it.

Last great amp was the Mini Jubilee... In my opinion.

Don't worry about that! If they are they've been pretty tight lipped though.

Whatever it is I'm sure it'll be good. Also I wouldn't be surprised if it's something made in their Vietnam factory so for those of you who don't want anything not made in UK go ahead and plan on ignoring this one.

Mini 800 (20W/1W) EL34 with built in load box. Mini usb to load digital cab sim (xlr out). Reverb and delay. That could be an amp with useful features for the studio and for the road

Well I’m not thinking big I’m thinking small :D

    How about a Dsl5 head?

    I’d buy one of those,...

I know the person who used to be the Brand Licensing and Marketing Director (or something like that) at Marshall until mid last year. Whoever has taken over has some strange ideas for teaser videos. At this point I think it's more of an advertisement that something new is coming and not a hint as to what the actual product will be.

The amp-tester twitter video says something like "Shrink outside the Box" in the newspaper, then talks about zapping amps. The one today has an amp-zapper that could be some kind of shrink-ray gun. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but sounds like whatever it is, it could be a miniaturized version of a bigger amp (or a range of mini amps like the 50th Anniversary models?) Dunno. Maybe it's just a lunchbox-sized Code.

My guess is it's related to a mini head based on an existing model. That "zapper" is sort of a cliched Sci Fi thing for shrinking stuff as we all know. They wrote "Hope it hasn't touched anything", possibly foreshadowing that it did (an existing amp). Mini 800? Mini whoknowswhat.

The only new amp we need would be an 1987xMV...a 7 knob 1987x with factory ppivm and internally linked channel inputs. Obviously with vintage style small box...
.. why would they build a 20 watt whatever when people claim they need the 100 watt headroom of a 2203 in their bedrooms?...

I was just thinking how embarrassed I would be if Mesa/Boogie released a similar promo with a "cute" fuzzy hamster.

Ok yeah, I could see that. Although I do know that Marshall was/is planning on redoing their entire product line and they had more new amps waiting. They wouldn't tell me what specifically or anything like that but it seemed to be implied that it was entirely new amps, to appeal to the younger crowd and what they thought would be profitable for them. So I think, even if there's a mini 800 or something, they will have something completely new to showcase, just like they did last year.

The first video clip mentions new amp line but both clips talk about zapping. Idk, I'm just trying to remain patient until Thursday.
