I mentioned when I joined the forum that I was expecting my first Marshall.

I chose the Origin 50 head for a number of reasons, not the least of which was the switchable output and the size of the unit.

I've had the opportunity to play around with it just a bit and so far, I'm thrilled. I haven't plugged my G&L ASAT Bluesboy into it, but the Les Paul sounds fantastic. On 1W, I can crank the master and ride the edge of feedback like a wave.

I paired it with a 1936 Cabinet - stock G12T-75 speakers. I've heard talk that I should change these speakers to Creambacks but I'm going to I find my way around the amp properly before I make any changes to the setup.

Please excuse the cell phone pics.

HNAD, the Origin is great amps, I have the Origin20C now with Greenback, and run it with a 1*12 cab with Greenback, sounds great.

    Cheers.

HNAD congratulations on a fine amp, I have the same 50H, and I love mine, took the itch for a 1987xl away, (for now) if you know what I mean :naughty:

    Happy NAD!
Yes, I would definitely swap out those T75s for some creams or greens. I have the 20H and I prefer the greenbacks over the creambacks for that particular amp.
Nice looking Les Paul as well.

Nice! I too have an ORI50H paired with a 2x12 - in my case a Zilla lightweight ported cab with Neo Creambacks. Considering getting one of those new Studio Vintage heads as well but the Origin is a great versatile amp: enough headroom to use as a pedal platform or crank it for classic Marshall crunch!
