I've had this guy for a week and i can say that this thing produces my dream tone. Words cant describe how amazing it sounds cranked near full volume. Recording is custom cabs with some tweaked greenbacks in my studio and ballistic volume mic with some SE condenser mics.

Are you using a boost or drive pedal with that? It's got a lot more gain than either of my two Super Leads. If the answer is no then I'd have to wonder if your amp might have been slightly modded. My 2203 wasn't any crunchier than that.

oh yea, had a couple of mkII`s back in 71-75, gotta loves the marshalls, just gear back up with a jvm410h, and a jvm410hjs and a couple of cabs. The thing with me is gain. I do not believe real gain is on a knob, its a combination of multiple elements, but they only come at a price. Gotta open those VALVES....

Thanks for the feedback guys! Yeah the amp has a small boost mod that was done to give the amp a little more juice than a stock plexi. No changes to the voicing though. I can't get over how amazing this amp sounds! it also has alot more mids than other plexi's i've played.
