You can ground the chassis but use the star grounding to the center tap. Hoffman amps has a 6v6 plexe board and wire layout to mite want to look at

Tom has pictures of the build process on his site. All vintage 60’s parts that either Tom or I had gathered over the years. Tom had for instance some Vynair RS cloth and smooth rexin and gold string.

The plywood for the cabinets are fun, taken from freight crates for microscopes (found them I the trash room!!!)

Frontplates engraved from Michael at Modulus

Just planning on making two of these, one for Tom and one for me.

    Plexi

My build is moving at a snails pace but still working . I hit some obstacles due to cold temp I had to fix my heater wiring first . I also have had my head stuck in software trying to create a proper layout that I will post giving credit where it is due . I might have shot myself in the foot putting in 4 inputs but that’s where I’m at currently wiring shielding to the 4 68k resistors.

An amp without a cigarette lighter on the front panel?
    What were you thinking?

Skip the four Inputs . Use the 2204 in put and bypass the low input . And use the Hofmann layout. Keep things as simple as possible

To late for that the chassis was drilled some time ago. I am in it so I will forge ahead. Next build will be more modern design with mods. Of course depending how this turns out it might need some tweaks .
