A new track I've been working on called "Best Days On Earth"
I'm not much of a "metal djent" kinda player but I do have a 8 string and thought it would be fun to record a few tunes in this style.
Constructive feedback would be much appreciated, cheers!

Killer bro. Metal djent isn't my style either, hell I don't even really know what djent is but what you just played was awesome. Great rhythm and a even better lead. I wish I had your sense of melody. Keep up the good work !:dude::headbanger::headbanger::rock:

    Sounded great man!
I tried a 7 string for a little while but my small hands just couldn't do it.

Progressive metal over djent backing instumental.

    It sounds good.

I have a shirt just like that one. :D

I’m a sucker for melody, and that was great.
You’re the Shakespeare of the Guitar. :yesway:

    Cool Michael.
That's not a style I know about neither. I cannot offer constructive critique about the notes. I wouldn't know from what angle to offer it while still respecting the genre.

But your usual skills are showing: your ability to put the guitar into the mix - whatever mix it is - is always educational for me.

I know that you have impressive dexterity as a guitar player: that goes without saying by now.
But I just can't help concentrating on how well you put the guitar into the mix every time - any setting, any genre.

Thank you kindly sir, I greatly appreciate the feedback.
I'm just hoping I captured something memorable and catchy as opposed to just a bunch of fast noise. :)

Thank you Michael, I appreciate the kindness.
It's not an easy instrument to play if you have really small hands.
I sometimes fine it confusing going back & forth from 6 to 8 all the time. :)

    Thank you my friend.
I've been trying to make more musical sense with my lead playing lately.
In the past I've made a lot of fast noise as opposed to something memorable and catchy.
    I'm turning over a new leaf. :)

    Thank you Tubes!
I don't deserve all this awesome kindness.
Sometimes I say to myself "is he really talking about me"
You're way too kind my friend.

Proud of you man. I love versatile open minded guitarists.

You are the Marshall Major dude playing VH ect...
but aren't limited to your childhood memories and the passion that it brings.

Gonna post this over at SS.org? You should, it very good!

You’ve got the luxury of choice.
I like a bit of both when I listen to good guitarists. The reason why I like Buckethead and Vai.

Love the rhythm melody, nothing sounds worse than a good lead over sloppy rhythm. But You nailed it!

    It's funny you mentioned Buckethead.
Someone the other day thought I was Buckethead.
I think he truly was convinced I was. :)
