Empty oil drum makes a good BBQ grill... You can put a whole hog in it too...

I went outside today, risking the coronazombies, and did some country style ribs on the dirty ol' brinkmann. I dunno. It's meat over a fire. Oh, and some herb roasted spuds/carrots/onion.

Made stuffed cheeseburgers tonight. I didn't think to get pics until I was already cooking, so bear with me for a moment.

I made 4 patties from ground beef. For this purpose, I stuffed a measuring cup with the meat, because I wanted the 4 patties to all be the same size. I used 1/2 cup ground beef per patty. I seasoned both sides of the patties.

Then I layered chopped onion, green (bell) pepper, and cheddar cheese on two of the patties. Next, I placed the bare, but seasoned patties directly on top of the two I had earlier piled shit onto. Now, we have a "sandwich" of cheese, onion, green pepper, with ground beef for buns...

A slice of bacon was then wrapped around the edgeside of each patty. They went onto a cast iron pan, and onto a preheated, indirect heat on the weber....

Gave em cheese, extra bacon, and then served them with all the fixins...

    Pics to follow...

probably, so I'm not too concerned w/ my 3rd degree burnt meat...

Actually, a lot of the same studies that say the flame touching meat causes cancer, also say red meat it's self causes cancer...

I think probably somewhere I do. Might take a lot of digging. Typically, in the days when I was fishing hardcore, I was a catch and release largemouth fisherman. Those fish tasted pretty much like stagnant mud, cause the ponds they're in do too. Other than that, I'd do salmon/steelhead every fall and all those ended up being smoked.

Not sure if I posted this here already but here's a bunch of salmon fillets in a smoker made from an industrial fridge that came from a restaurant or some shit...

Albumin bleed (the fatty runoff you see on top of the fillets) indicates that they came up to temperature a little too quickly...it's just as tasty though, but a little less moisture than could have been possible

dont really even bass fish much any more if i can help it.
i love trout fishing but salt is where the heart is.
i just lost interest in bass. ive logged several dozen over 10 lbs
in my life time. now the bait i use is often over 10lbs each lol.
