    Hello folks, I recently got a Marshall 1936 2x12.
This is my first ever Marshall product (used Randall, Mesa, Blackstar and etc. gear before).
I opened up the cab and in there are Marshall G12 Vintage speakers by Celestion, Made in UK.
So my question is, are this V30 speakers (from the early days or something) or not?
And would you recommend to leave these speakers in or to change them up with real V30 speakers by Celestion.
I tried to look this all up on the internet and YouTube and some say these speakers are the original first V30 and some say they are no way near to the V30, so I'm left confused.
I'm interested in your guys thoughts.
Btw. I play mainly metal music, this is way I love the V30 speakers, a standard in metal these days, if you ask me.

Yes, they are the Marshall proprietary version of the Vintage 30. They are slightly brighter but with slightly deeper bass as well compared to the standard Vintage 30. They are actually the original version of the Vintage 30. They are made in the UK. There is no reason to change them out for Chinese V30s, especially if they are broke in, in my opinion.

Leave em in, they're supposed to be the good ones

Apparently it was a factory stock premium option

The Celestion V30 is the poser.
The Marshall Vintage (G12V) are the original and the best.
They do metal nicely. I have a bunch of them. :yesway::)

You've got two speakers that are regarded as very good and generally sought after. Many would say they are better than the "raw frame" Vintage 30s you mentioned that you'd buy elsewhere. If you don't like the sound of them, that's one thing, just know you've got a pair of very good speakers. They are in fact "real" Celestions.

A handful of Marshall cabs still ship with them (1936V 212, 1960AV and BV, the 2551AV / BV, to name a few). They are still being produced and as others have noted, they are Marshall OEM meaning you can only get them from Marshall.

I'm curious- does your cab have its "1936" badge in the lower left corner? If so, does it read "1936 Vintage"?

The 1936 Vintage indicates that it has the Marshall/Celestion Vintage speakers you're asking about, and is often considered to be a bit of a nicer cab than the standard 1936 cab with G12T-75 speakers.

In a nutshell, you have a great cab with great speakers.
