So me and my wife went to see a show last Tuesday at ArtPark, great venue. It was Tommy Two Tune, Loverboy and then Rick Springfield.

Jenny 867-5309 by Tommy was great!!!!

Loverboy was awesome as long as you didn't look at that fat sh-t. He still can sing though!!

Then was Rick (the joke) Springfield. He blows IMO. He has one decent song Jessi's Girl. The rest suck. He jumps around on stage like a freak, bangs on his guitar and its not even mic'd. He should have stayed acting in Soaps. We stayed for a couple of his so called bubble gum songs and left. Loverboy should have closed not him:facepalm:

Here's a video of Loverboy, my wife took the it on her iPhone:

Yeah Dawg I figure if you're gonna go out on tour the least you can do is lose the friggin' weight.
Not much we can do about looking old but we could try to trim down a bit.
Anyway, as you said that he can still sing I guess that's 75% of the battle right there!
    BP!
Edit: Looking at the vid I understand that at that size it would take him 8 months to lose a small portion of that weight and probably kill him in the process!!!
    Rock on.

Wow. He's been buffeting I see. He should get a trainer before he goes on the Gary Richrath retirement program..I liked Gary, it was sad he passed..heaviness leads to heart problems. Mikey should get on that while he can.

And I guess finally he outgrew the red leather pants.:)

The other half of Reno was Scott Smith (RIP) and the driving force as Loverboy's original bassist IMO.

    Another thing...

At the end of his last song, he took off his headband, wrong it out twice with all this sweat juice running out onto the stage then threw it out into the audience. Thank GOD it missed me short by 10 ft. The most disgusting thing Ive seen in a long time other the those Bruce Jenner he/she pics in the other thread this morning!!

I saw Dokken open up for Loverboy around 1987, after Dokken finished their set the place cleared out, Loverboy was cursing and throwing a tantrum on stage cuz nobody was listening as they headed for the door LOL.

I forget the guitarists name (loverboy) but he always had good tone back in the day, sounded like stock jcm800's (no shocker there). I see Bogners on stage in the video but I'm guessing they were for one of the other bands.

That guy needs to shed some weight or he's gonna be a statistic (DEAD) earlier than he should be.

That may be Paul Dean. I have his signature Kramer model, killer guitar. Excellent player too, he indeed had great tone.

Also need to consider Loverboy was produced by Bruce Fairbirn with Bob Rock as engineer. Fairbirn produced many of the majors back then, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Poison, Yes.

Bob Rock engineered the first album Loverboy with hits The Kid Is Hot Tonite, Turn Me Loose.
Rock was also producer for Metallica, Simple Plan, a long list of notable credits.

Hence the sound Loverboy got on record was well handled to launch them.

Speaking of Dokken, even if the audience left after they played, Loverboy still got paid. They're still touring, Dokken isn't.

And again Dokken's George Lynch, has anyone been following KXM?
