I saw several bands last year. I saw JJUUJJUU, Mastodon, Primus, some guy named Tim Montana, ZZ Top, Napalm Death, Testament, Anthrax, Lamb of God, Slayer, and a few local bar bands too, mostly punk rock. Missed out on Tool though, major regret. I thoroughly enjoyed myself at every show that I did attend though.

This year, I'd like to do the same. Maybe even see more shows than last year. I'm already planning to see Mastodon in about 4 months again. Went last year, met the band, and had such a good time that I thought I just needed to do it again as soon as I found out they'd be back.

How about a live shows thread?

Anyone plan on seeing anyone specific?

I'd be down to see the priest.

Looks like they'll be in my neck of the woods come mid-June as well.

At a tribal casino, no less...could be fun

    Nice.

I'd be interested in Volbeat. I have liked what I've heard from them, though I admit that's limited to what I've heard on the airwaves, be it FM or XM.

There are plenty of shows I want to go to this year, just not sure if I’ll be able.

KISS is for sure, my dad got us tickets, I really want to go to hatebreed and Nashville pussy but, paycheck will decide that one. I think priest is coming as well.

I haven't see $h!t in almost a decade either, Im old and lame, my kids aren't into music like I was when I was their age, I was hoping to take them to some shows to give me an excuse to get out but they just don't care.

A couple years ago I decided that I wanted to make an effort to get out there and see more live music. Last year was a success in that regard, for me anyway.

I had a friend ask me a couple days ago if I wanted to see Hatebreed, they're coming this way soonish. Might check that one out, not sure yet.

Keep an eye one that one, let me know! I'll go with you! PNW unite! Lol

My boys are jocks (unlike myself, they take after their mother LOL) they'd rather go to a sporting event, they could care less about live music or real music for that matter, they like that synthesized rubbish all the kids listen to today and hip hop. Blah! Actually, I bet they'd go to a Kanye West show if given the opportunity but you wont get me there!

Lock em in the basement and give them the full Noriega.

(expect to see results in about 10 days)

Well, brawling one's way through a mosh pit could be considered a sporting event.

Hell, just trying to stand there and watch Slayer is like an Olympic sport, though the smell of stale beer and B.O. floating around in those crowds is probably something that one would not find at the olympics...

Will have to see what happens. Megadeath is touring with ozzy. Hope ozzy gets better soon. I saw ozzfest back in 2002 and he looked dead back then. It was a good show would like to think he can perform as well as he did then

    SLIPKNOT July 30.

I'll be headed to this one, never been to see the ol 'Knot. Looks like they put on a pretty insane live show.
