EH Big muff. Most others are overpriced not as good as the original muff. I used to run it through my clean Fender Musicmaster bass amp or my other clean amps.Ive had the green and black ones.

Analogman germanium Sunface. I'm running it through my hardwired JTM 45. I love how the fuzz cleans up with the rollback of your guitar volume. It's a very versatile fuzz and there's lots of tones available from just utilizing your guitars volume knob.

By far my fav., and the only "fuzz" I'd own.

And a couple from Stomp Under Foot...
    The 'Civil Unrest' was great.

DOD Carcosa is a really good one, it has 2 modes. One mode works well with a clean amp and the other works better with a dirty amp. Since my 2203 KK doesn't have a clean channel and rolling the gain down a ton to get it cleaner neuters the fullness of it's tone this is hands down the best fuzz I've found for it. I tried it back to back with every Big Muff variant and a couple others.

I also have a Black Arts Toneworks Black Forest Overdrive which will get fuzz tones once the gain is cranked.

The other I have is the Idiotbox Effects WHORES. Fuzz/Freq which is a germanium fuzzface type circuit paired with a cocked wah.

I also have an Earthquaker Acapulco Gold which is more of a Sunn Model T sound but def has a lot of fuzz characteristics to it.

I have a Big muff and this thing that's sort of based off a fuzz face with Ge transistors. I also have a couple of NOS Ge transistors that I'll be using for a pedal build soon.

I run it through a Sovtek Mig 50.

And I don't really like a fuzz by itself (fed into a clean amp), but rather have it interact with the amp. The amp pretty much breaking up or even distorting, and feather the pedal's gain and volume to taste.

Ive been roliin my own fuzz faces since I was a kid ...destroying transistor radios

Been using the Pro Analog MK II now n then for about 15 years
Last couple years I use his Scary Face on the road

My favorite fuzz on record is this .....

I have no idea what it is ...Mosrite, Maestro ...i dont know ,but it's disgusting and I love it !
Everybody goes for that fuzz face or tonebender sound, but I like that struggling 60's lo-fi sh*t

I have never turned my guitar volume down when I deal with muffs. Maybe others clean up better with lower guitar volumes.

Yeah, the muff doesn't clean that well. The other fuzz I use (with Ge transistors) does clean up very well.

I like how it sags on the "Big" setting. Cool pedal, dude.

At the 5 min. mark the guy says "you have to run it into a clean amp."

Here's an interesting one. I'm not interested in buying it (probably expensive, and I wouldn't regularly use it), but I'd sure like play around with one some time. It's kind of like an Octavia + booster
