    He,

I'm looking for a les paul .. not directly but in the near future..
Is there a year I should look for? I'm not so familiair with the brand.. only know that the new ones are not that great.

I had a Les Paul studio from the 80's, but that thing sounded crap. It had a maple neck and 4 piece maple top. selled that one cause I never wanted to play it.

I'm surching for a Normal strandard LP Mahogony body And neck and 2 piece maple top.
Elektronics are not that important.. you can change that if you want.
No freaky robot tuners or freaky bridges and tailpieces..Just Normal that kicks you in the balls.

Just JCM 900 and Gibson LP.

I could have tried the Gibson Les Paul forum..but I'm banned from that.. I just asked: Can you realy play or is it an extention of your **** .. Yes I regret.

I have 2 2016 LPs and have had no issues with them. Someone who knows differences by years can chime in and maybe give you a better comparison.
Mine sound nice and chunky and LP ish. I don't know other than quality control issues what would make a better LP. One should be able to see that by playing one.

I NEVER Again buy without trying a guitar.. bought a new Fender For 700 euro..mex one.. put in Dimarzio pro tracks ... then I bought a Ibanez Blazer from 95.. for 150 euro used.. The Fender sound good.. but I regret buying it.. The Ibanez sound way better. Specs mag be excelent but says nothing.
I had epi's but never fall in love with them.
I just want it for blues and rock.. if I really want to shred I take my Ibanez Jem.. has a high output and 24 frets.

Just want to show my extention... it stood in my garage.. now in my livingroom. With that awfull Fender. I don 't know het people hate the JCM900 4500 so much.. I put in a new set of JJ EL34's in it with a new bias resistor and it sounds fine to me... tried JCM 800's but sound to dull to me. For me it's an Amazing amp!

Les Paul Traditional series is where you want to start then. Find a store that carries a variety of LP's and sit down and play them to see what you like and don't like, what fits your budget, and which finish you like.

Traditional is maybe better. But I don 't want to end up with something that is over a periode of time is nhaa. It's something you take for life, so if it cost me 3500 euro... it's the way it is... I don 't need special runs like a copy of a 59 The Beast or something like that.. just a LP and of I have a choice, black, with bindings gold hardware .. can buy a studio.. but I know myself.. it will not do..

My 2012 Traditional is great. I like it as much as any of the four Custom Shop RI’s I have. Great tone, playability and killer looks.
