    Yeah, they're great
Me personally, I like em better than 6550s in a Marshall

Kt-66's are awesome tubes. I love them. Never tried them in my 2203 when I had it but goddamn they sound great in my JTM 45.

So you have KT66's in this amp ?........It sure does sound great !
What I love about them is the low mid woody honk bark tone they give .

If you change the bias voltage you can install KT66.
It's the same as 6L6 or 5881 for bias.

IIRC, ya dont even have to change the range resistor on the 6550 amps ,to put in 6L6 family tubes . I know I didn't on that one ^

I stuck a quad in a 2555X - changed the feel and 'rounded / smoothed' the gain a bit. I prefer them to EL34's in that amp. I'm trying to get my amp guy to build a 45/100 with switchable rec tube/SS and a bit more filtering on the low end.

Always had respect for someone who loves the Mighty JTM 45/100 ,...haha!

One suggestion I have is ,....instead of having the SS-Tube rectifier switch on the back,
ask your tech to install a three way switch on the front where the standby is ,
top is SS, middle is standby and down is Tube or Tube top and SS down doesn't matter.

My tech told me to wait three seconds on standby and not flick it from SS to Tube instantly
or vice - versa ,...a lot more usefull to have it on the front . Another thing I really like
is having the PPIMV where the Presence is and install the Presence on the back if you ever need a PPIMV,
I never touch my Presence knob once it's set but I really use the MV a lot so very useful on the front.

    Just sharing my experience,
