I thought KK retired, so he plays in a Priest cover band? I'm a huge Priest fan so surprised to see this, I'm glad hes still playing though. :yesway:

Don't necessarily know if you could call what he's doing a cover band in that sense, i mean he was there when these tunes were written, recorded and toured.

Well, for argument sake this band goes by the name of Steel Mill not Judas Priest so technically its a cover band or a tribute band how I see it. Does Steel Mill write their own songs or do they just play Priest tunes? This is a good question, what constitutes a band or a cover band? Regardless, KK is the man. :yesway:

Poor KK, he jumped off the train and it ran him over, he lost his annual royalties ( $400k I think it was) he tried to open a country club on his estate and lost all his $$$, and was mad they didn't ask him to rejoin when Glenn got sick. Love his KK V's

    This concert was awesome..

and this version of Victim of Changes

there are just as many original Priest members here, as there are in Priest. This one though, also has interim member Tim Owens...

Les Binks on drums, played w/ Priest up until July 1979. He played all their early classic stuff & on Unleashed in the East!

KK was there, & Tim Owens came after they kicked out Halford...

So, 2 original members & 1 later member.

Priest has Halford & Ian Hill. Everyone else is newer. Travis, joined in the band in '89, so he's a long standing member, but, Binks is the original...

    It's a toss up! :)...

Priest started the last tour w/ Victim of Changes in the line-up. They dropped it. I think people thought it weird that they were watching Priest play that song w/o any of the guitarists in the band...

The show started out as a jam with KK and David who was going to play at KK's Steel Mill which is the name of the Venue not the band's name..It was an evening with David Ellefson & KK Downing, featuring Tim Ripper Owens Les Binks Thom Hazaert & AJ Mills.. It was The most awesome evening. Here's a pic the poster that they kindly signed for me at the Meet and Greet before the show , I hope they do form a band and do more shows like this 585poster.jpg

Kk has the right to do whatever he wants. He wants to play. Call it a cover band if you want, but he helped write the material..I'd think that takes it out of true cover band territory.

Speaking of a cover band. Molly Hatchet was in town at the Casino last week and all I could think of was this is not Molly Hatchet, this is a M.H. cover band,..as I think most if not all the original members are dead..Dave, Duane, Danny joe, Bruce.all gone..so how they can use the name is beyond me.
