    Hello.
Sorry to hear you had no success with your situation. At this point, I'm not sure if your amp is still under warranty; if so, then you might be able to take the footswitch to an authorized Marshall repair center (or send it to Marshall) for service under warranty.

I don't know the serial numbers, but the 6 button switch for the 4 works perfectly on the 2.

Which foot switch do you have?

or are you saying you do not know the model number of yours?

Mine is PEDL - 00044. It's the 6 button footswitch that comes with the 4, and it works fine with my 205.

Good to know! Wonder why Marshall is telling us that pedal won’t work?

Is Marshall saying that 00044 won't work? I thought the 91005 is the one that's not compatible, but I don't know which pedal that is. I don't believe that's the one that comes with the 4.

I, too, have the six-button footswitch model# PEDL-00044 and it works with all JVM2 amps (the footswitch came packaged with my 2007 JVM410H).

PEDL-00044 was the first six-button footswitch issued with JVM4 amps (JVM2 amps and their four-button footswitch were produced later, if I remember correctly). I could be wrong, but since the release of PEDL-00044, there have been two other versions of the six-button footswitch (I'm not including the footswitch for the Satriani JVM410HJS). So some confusion regarding the footswitch comparability might be associated with the different models.

I'll see if I can find some links regarding further discussion of the footswitch on the JVM forum.

    The six button footswitches:

Footswitch pictured below is PEDL-00044 (I have this one) and is compatible with all JVM4 and JVM2 amps.

Not sure what is the serial number for the footswitch pictured blow, and not sure if it's compatible with all JVM2 and JVM4 amps

This footswitch pictured below is 91005. Note that LEDs are directly above each footswitch and there is no distinction what function is engage (i.e. no LED signifying reverb is on/off, etc.)

The Satriani six-button footswitch model# PEDL-00055 (noted difference is Jim Marshall signature above "JVM" logo and Joe Satriani signature below "JVM" logo, "clean/mid shift" and "gate" label in the LED section)

rrguitar wrote in post #22 that Marshall told him that 91005 will not work on the JVM2. Thus adding to the confusion. The consensus seems to be that PEDL 00044 is compatible with both.

Then that is what I'd like. With 6 buttons, I'd be set for everything I'd need. Not sure why Marshall told me otherwise? Possibly to keep it to the same pedal that was stock with the amp? Not sure.

    Hello.

I agree with John's post above because I have the same model (PEDL-00044) and can confirm what he says that PEDL-00044 works with all JVM2 and JVM4 amps (all various JVM combos, heads, 50 watt and 100 watt models).

As far as the current six-button footswitch (91005), the only thing I can think of is that the firmware was changed so that 91005 now only works with JVM4 amps. When 91005 was first produced it was compatible with all JVM amps. Perhaps what Marshall told rrguitar is correct.

Here is a picture of my 00044. I wouldn't mess around with the 91005, since it may not work. Just get 00044, because we all know that that one works.

Now the only thing is...I do not see many online that are available. 00044 still in production?

    Ok.....
So either its the 91006, (stock 4 buttton) or the 00044 which is not in production and hard to find.

Is this correct or am I missing any other models that will.work with 205h?

Sounds right. You might be able to find the 00044 in the used market. I wonder why they made the new JVM4 switches to be incompatible with the JVM2.

I know, that was my question as well.
    Annoying.
