Got a great deal on a pretty much unused '07 model. Bought as a backup and never gigged apparently. I owned one when they came out but mine kept blowing fuses so ended up being sent back to Marshall. Played a friends 2466 the other night and was reminded what a gloriously great sounding amp they were. I've attached some photos. Mint. Mint. Mint. IMG_1703.jpg picture by Superbeaver - Photobucket
I'm currently selling one of these in a Combo version at the moment. I'm going to be sad to see it go but I will probably but the head version in a year or so. One of my personal favorite amp of all time.
WHAT !!!!! MF members are getting better deals than this guy at the moment! £320 is jaw dropping,I got £330 for my Haze 15!!! You should change your name to 'Super Shopper!'
Man, I know. I am checking Gumtree every 30 mins. I had contacted him and arranged a viewing within 12 minutes of it being listed. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it listed for £340.00 I left £320 ($500, €420) lighter and a VM heavier
That is such a good deal,I always said once I get the YJM that's it! But if I saw a VM in that condition at that price it would KILL me not to jump on such a bargain! (& then the missus would kill me when I walked in with it!)
Man, in all seriousness. I played a YJM for the first time last night and i would give all my amps for one and throw in the wife as well. Possibly the best sounding amp ive ever player through. And i've played through some incredible amps...
They are a brilliant idea (for such as me & a lot of guys on the YJM thread it would appear!) been able to use at such low volumes AND have the built in boost to make up for lost gain! The only down side to them is the price & weight if you're gigging! Saying that the way you're carrying on you'll probably get one for a fiver next week! Fingers crossed for you!
I just bought a brand new YJM100, I'm picking it up tomorrow with a 1960b cab until my 1960av cab arrives. That's why I'm selling my VM 2266c
I bet you can't wait! Just make sure you have a quick nosey through the manual & the EPA's on before you max the volumes or you may end up sat in the garden!
Awesome deal on the VM2266....My 2466 however has to be the all time deal to beat. I paid a grand for it AND a nice 2004 Les Paul Classic. I sold the LP two months later for £1425, so ended up £425 and a VM2466 better off. Enjoy your VM they are one of Marshall's best.
I thought I got my VM for a good deal but that's stupid! Lol I want a YJM though so someone buy my 2466 lol
