So, tell us a little about how you did come by this stuff. Did you purchase a building that someone had just left all that equipment in?

People will admire the Marshall, of course, but I don't think many are falling for the 'looky what I found' narrative. CNN and FOX watchers, maybe. Too bad the Marshall isn't stock, though, I suppose it could be. i.e. Routine maintenance.

that's what I get out of it...

weird though, that someone would buy a building w/o knowing anything about it.

Seems staged like reality TV shows.
Also if the Electrician installed breakers to the panel the power would already be on.
That on/off switch outside looked like a 230 volt cutoff for an AC unit.
    The panel is 500VAC.
The wiring from the pole should come right to the breaker box inside.
    I call bullshit.

Waiting for that Marshall to show up on Pawn Stars.

Its possible I suppose, I saw some youtube videos of abandoned millionaire estates where the heirs took the millions and left the house and contents, property, car collections, etc. and left them behind to rot, 40-50 years later everything is overgrown, rusting and falling apart.

well, maybe it's just the way he decided to present it?

regardless, I think it's an interesting thing. I think that people need to redefine the word "find". This is a treasure hunter/collector term. It doesn't mean that he just happened to be wondering around the bay area & found a vacant building, broke in &..... (tune in & follow the excitement)

People on here "find" stuff on ebay or CL all the time & post it, so, let's not get too cynical. If you were looking for a "find" like this, wouldn't you be excited?

Let's just watch & enjoy the ride, or not, if you're not interested...

Who wouldn't want a Jose Marshall.
Unfortunately in the world of internet if it's too good to be true it usually is.
Decades of ripoffs and scams would make a skeptic of anyone.

he has stated that, at this point, he isn't wanting to sell anything. He's wanting to go through everything, & as he did w/ the V guitar, explore it, & if needed, restore it...

I wonder which of these fine establishments used to be Jose's shop.

As far as the "Jose" Marshall is concerned, whatever. Even if God modified your amp, without natural ability, you're going to suck. Some act as though Jose used magic solder, bestowed unto him by the Gods of Mt. Olympus.

In the case of Ed's '68 plexi, except for Jose adding a MV (which Ed removed), his '68 Marshall was stock. Jose replaced the transformers and mustard caps with stock value parts. The only reason Jose didn't install stock transformers, is because none were available. Other than being a '68, there is nothing special about the amp, or the work that was done on it.

Imo, the OP is just to vague about the whole thing.

Things that should be talked about are left out... Nothing discussed in the OP first two post in detail about how, who, why, when, where.. Not to mention the cheese was the Jose amp, abandoned studio, then all this gear.... Its done intentionally, no...

I feel like I'm being baited for the sake of a new reality TV or cable show..

If its all legit, good for him..

I can find no mention of this find anywhere else on the internet. You would think it would be a big deal other places as well...not just here on the Marshall forum. The op has to understand the scepticism if this is in fact true..you'd think it would be the talk of music circles everywhere, so idk what to think.
