Took the DSL to our Zep tribute gig last night and got some video--of course as usual the rig was too much to get breathing esp with the sound guy wanting to control the levels from the board. The amp is barely cracked with the gain at about 11:00 (without the boost engaged). Even taking that into account, along with the greenbacks (I usually use EVs which don't thin the tone out quite so much), I got quite a few, "THAT is a DSL?" comments. Even caught two different guys on the recordings trying to see the back of the amp.

THat is a nice LP...but I want a EDS1275 man....damn. Very very nice vid dude...very good playing! Excellent tone. Your DSL sounds better than mine does and mine sounds pretty damned good. That's gotta be the work of the master versus someone merely following his recipe...lol.

;) Like I said, I will throw people cooking tips but the real recipes stay with me.

Thats the three decades of decadence mod, not that he really needs all three, He seems to have been doing really well with just one!

    Seriously nice playing Tallcoolone!!!!!

Thanks all for the props--tough to get a real feel for the amp from a camcorder mic, but you can tell how well it sits in the mix. Believe me when I say it was barely cracked and sounds a TON better with a few more SPLs... I like the stock DSL quite a bit but it does tend get lost on stage--not this amp. Just a whole lotta fun to play. I've got some better sounding clips but audio only, I'll try and put some of those together soon.

I had some of the Joey Voltage recipe and it was a kicking amp. It could cover a lot of ground. Ultimately I went back to a plexi clone, but that was inevitable.

    Nice clip, btw.
