My brother-in-law was his road manager. He had not seen him in 3 weeks since everything closed up. He went to the hospital on a Tuesday and got tested, died on Sunday. He had some health issues and was 61.
Sad, my BIL lost a friend, a boss, and a job all in one fell swoop! Merchandise sales are going crazy though, he is selling the rest of the inventory.
He was in the Opry, and they are trying to figure out how to have a wake for him with all the crazy going on.

These deaths are so sudden it’s hard to even think straight. I sincerely hope this shit fizzles out as fast as it took a foothold. It seems almost all my favorite bands are up in age, as well as myself.

So he did have some health issues, that help explains it but still very very sad, Joe was a good singer and had a lot of good songs. Thanks for the update!
