Had a chance to record a bit more with this amp, The bottom end is not as crushing as my 2203 but I usually have to cut the low end of the guitar tracks anyway.
No bass guitar as usual here.

I couldn't get the timing right at the start like the real song so just put it in time with the 4/4 click track. Hope every one can handle that :)

I used a CM-2 overdrive on this but also used an MXR 10 band as a boost just on the intro instead of the CM-2. Im going to experiment a little more with the 10 band as a boost into the front end as I think it was a little less noisy, but that may just be because I got less distortion from it than the OD, which was volume cranked plus gain on half as well.
Wish I had time to set up the V30 cab as well and compare to the G12T 75's.
The V30's to me sound like I am using more gain when compared to the 75's which is just what I would have wanted here.

The drums take ages to write and mix but I am getting a bit faster at it.

Sounds good! I have a CM-2 also, it's a sleeper that one day will be worth more, and be hard to find.
If you can't get an amp to sound good with the CM-2 then somethings wrong.
    Wow , you have a 2204 and 2203? That's KOOL!

Damn...been on the fence about building a 2204 for ever...may really have to do it now.

    That was a good clip.

I have a bad Monkey USA as well but I like the CM-2 more because it has more output with the gain on zero.
    My 2203 is a JMP 1977.

    Sounds great!

I spent some time at a buddies slamming some early Metallica through an Elmwood M60 and a JMP 2203. The Elmwood had much more tone shaping tools to bring the crushing thump but I preferred the 2203 for pure tone.

    Thanks.
I burnt up a lot of time on the drums when I probably should have done another track with the OD gain a little lower but time goes so fast when you aren't working.

    Thanks.
Marshalls need a bit of help to do the metal thing, but they do it well with a bit of a push.

Here’s my contribution. The best metal sound I have ever heard. It took me years to get the formula just right.

Thanks for the clip - May I ask which guitars / mics are used?
