Like a dumb ass I tried to pot my J 90 C pickup I had in my MIJ Charvel. The main magnet that can be seen by removing the actual pickup from the steel pickup case is broken. Anyone that can replace the magnet for a reasonable price? Thanx!

I believe that pickup is out of production. To get the exact same magnet you would probably have to take it out of a J90C (pointless). There are replacement magnets available from guitar parts suppliers but they are generic, and could alter the J90C sound somewhat.
So you could patiently wait for one to come around 2nd hand, try one of the generic ceramic magnets, or be bold and be the first to have a J90A!

I still have a HSS set from my MIJ Charvel Fusion Custom that I retain to return the guitar to stock if need be.

    Doesn't matter

Physical cracks on a ceramic mag shouldn't do anything whatsoever to the pickup

PS if it stopped working, there's another issue

    You can do it...100%.
There's a few videos on Youtube to walk you through it.
Ebay has the required ceramic magnets...cheap.

Thanks for all the replies! Yeah it does actually work but sounds splatty and weak.So it's possible I could make an alnico pickup if I get the broken ceramic magnet replaced with an alnico magnet? Interesting....
