For me, a Gibson ES 335.
Same age as me, but plays nicer...
Well, more than one. But I love a lot the nylon strings guitar that you can see in the pic.
My two American Deluxe HSS Stratocasters on the right. Modded them to remove the S1 switching, put an EVH Wolfgang in the bridge and Custom Shop Fat 50's and Kinman Fat 50 Impersonators in them. Very versatile. Hard rock, classic rock, blues.....these guitars can do it all. And the tremolo's are very good.
So, you're 67.
Surely am - born in '52, same as my guitar.
I'm right behind you at 66.
I guess that certainly personifies you Nik .. I bet that gold top sounds stellar.
Hard to nail this down so many choices, maybe the SG, it's where it all started.
I used to think it was my Les Paul but I just played an American Fender Jaguar and man, I have GAS really bad for that axe. It felt part of me for some reason. Never felt that with any LP I’ve had. Hard to explain, I guess. May have to get to convince the warden but she’ll come around hopefully.
Any Gibson Les Paul Standard!
My 'spirit-guitar' would be my '91 LP studio, in ebony, with smart-ass wiring mods.
Like me, its solid but unassuming, and also a smart-ass.
I don't know of a guitar that personifies myself. I always think of guitars as girls and a few personifies some old girl friends.
Buy it, then convince
My '81 Greco Super Real EGF850 Crazy body resonance, sounds and plays so good. I took it guitar shopping in May, only one matched its sound (2018 Trad). It beat 3 others, so I spent the sizeable budget on an amp instead
