How about a pot pie? Or hell, even a regular pie?
Just stuff between a type of bread.
If the slices are cut, it is a pizza sandwich, if they aren't cut, but folded together, it is a pizza taco.
Never heard of a pizza taco, but I've heard of a taco pizza!

I worked at a packing house in the sausage dept. when I was younger and I have seen that process first hand..it's disgusting really..same exact method used for bologna, except balogna is one big weenie cut into slices.
Funny how they left out the steps where they add all of the nitrites and salt, then pulverize it!!!
I think that's an americanism. I've not heard non americans calling it pizza pie.

He would tell us that only signature bread types WITH signature meats and cheeses are the ONLY way a sandwich will be a sandwich. Anything else is just a cheap imitation
I stand corrected, that song is definitely the most trusted sauce (sp!) of Italian tradition and grammar.
