    Beam me up Scotty - that looks cool in a scary way. What's going on? Are you layering up loops with the super duper Looper pooper then hyper looping thru a Marshall enhanced warp drive ?:hmm: ah now I see there's an eq in the back...cool idea.

    Sorry @stringtree …… No clips yet …… Mitch has been asking for awhile now too … gonna have to get my iPad supported somehow to capture …
    I have been using a 112 extention cab with a 16ohm V30 along with the 16ohm Weber SilverBell in the DSL401 … It sounds huge for a combo !!

    I had a spare ES-8 switcher so I decided to get my Star Trek on and stick the JamMan Express loopers in there … I'm trying it out and so far it's pretty cool ……
    The JamMans sync with the SDRUM ( killer drummer in a box ) …… I can record a loop on one of the JamMans and then switch to the next JamMan for a different song part …… Very cool to do all of it on the fly and be able to noodle lead over the top while changing song parts …… Tonal Shift Baby !!

    @JonC

    Very cool looper setup.

    Can you explain more about the "no gut" mod. Looks you added an EQ to the back of the amp. Could you provide more details?

    LOL !! Sure …… it was kind of a happy accident …… About 2 years ago I was looking for ways to make this 401 sound less fizzy for my beloved Trowerish tones and I found this place …… A few times I picked @JohnH 's brain and learned an awful lot about the 401's , like how they like to run really hot … To the point of the Bridge Rectifier cooking ( especially in the 2003 and earlier years ) … I scored this 2006 and never having been inside of a tube amp … I decided not to start with this one ……
    So here's what my Tradesmen Sensibilities told me ……
    Parallel EFX Loop was useless in the typical sense,
    It works great with a jumper (a low pass filter can be made by just adding a capacitor to a shielded cable) , a BBE Sonic Stomp, or an actual EQ … of which I opted for an MXR 10 Band
    There's a Close on Rise Thermostat (like you would use in an attic) and couple fans that come on when the temp gets to 105 and off once it's back down to 96
    I have a kill switch to silence the Fans if I need to.
    A pass thru IEC dongle to power everything including the Amp.
    All of it fit neatly in the back of the cab without cutting the original back board.
    Changed the stock Gold to a Weber SilverBell.
    Everything is reversible ……
    A special shout out goes to @ampmadscientist for helping me with how to hook up the Nitrogen Heat Exchange Unit!!

    That’s something Jon, I wouldn’t know where to begin with all of what you just accomplished, but very cool indeed, now on to the next one, once you’ve put up the first, the rest come much easier! I like it , total one man band:cheers:
