A Rat,a fuzz and a Marshall..... we can’t be friends.
that is all.
If you ain't using a Tele with that set up take a walk.
The muff or nothing
I use a clean boost into my 1973 Super Lead. My booster is a Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster.
It's good but I think I should try other pedals for variety and versatility. A Rat is on the list of things to be tried, as is your ever-popular Tube Screamer.
If you don't use a guitar, coily cable straight in then..
Coily cables. The only 20 foot cable that is 5 feet long!
Hey whatever works man!
it's for that lo-fi SRV tone...
a EQ in the loop your only getting half the tone im getting out of the same amp.
Tone is all in the hands.
Oh here we gooooo!
A Les Paul Standard into a Marshall or Fender....
and if you play that rig with a strat i have a bullet for you ;-)
Tube Screamer born, Tube Screamer bred, when I die I'll be Tube Screamer dead.
Usually I play Ted Nugent style: A straight cord between the guitar and the amp and no noise toys in between to mess up the signal.
But I don't play as good as Ted. Not even close. My fault! Maybe I should practice more? Nah...that'd be too much like work.
Funny you bring Ted up. Last night I was watching some old Ted vids. Need you bad 1979..f ing awesome. Sometimes we forget (with all the talking Ted does) how good he was/ is. Great bands too. An influence on this old relic for sure.
Minimalist approach. Nothing between guitar and amp. With the right amp, nothing is needed to fully hump an ear .
Distortion pedals?? In front of your Marshall??
