If I put a cable into the audio in of my DSL

Without anything plugged into the other end it sounds very different. I would say better in fact. Weird.

 

And as soon as you start playing? What? Worse? Better? Gotta be a clue there

It is the new reissue.
We would have to see a schematic to tell what happens with the AUDIO IN.

I know some have this schematic already but alas, I have yet to see one.

 

I was going to take it to the jam last night to see how noticeable it was at higher vols but there were so many amps there already I didn't bother. At house volumes though it's significant. Only found out because I was playing to jam tracks on my tablet. Pulled the cable out and whoa - que pasa aqui?

 

Well hopefully it aint something that is going to damage stuff along the way.

 

I just tried it with my DSL40CR at bedroom levels and could hear no difference.
I held a sustained note/chord as I unplugged and plugged the cable back in and nothing changed.
You may have a one-off there.

Try to hold some sort of note or chord as you plug the jack in and out.

I only have a phone to record it but I'll try. Just ask them to do it like purpleplexis! Thinking on maybe all the others sound like mine with the cable in already and mine is just weak without.....
