I've been playing my 25th anniversary s model for awhile now and it's great but I really don't use the trem bar if at all. So today I broke out my rgat62 and wow! I forgot how great this guitar is. It has a neck through body set up. Three piece maple walnut neck. Jatoba wings and fretboard. It has a fixed bridge and best of all came stock with and air norton and tone zone pickups. The neck is smooth and there is so much room when reaching for the 24th fret
After set up it just plays like a dream and with the dimarzio's sounds awesome I can't believe I got so much for under $600. I paid more than twice that for my strat and my strat doesn't play anywhere near as good as the rga. Although the strat does play nice. So if you're in the hunt for a great guitar but don't want to spend over a grand then I would check this one out. Great bang for the buck! I think now you can get them for like $525

One of the best playing and most toneful beasts I've ever clawed on, my old '86 RG440

    RG necks are the shizznizzle

Thanks, it's a little beat up but you can't tell in the pic. Still sound as ever though, and almost plays itself. This guitar and I have been through a lot together, I bought it new. It's the only one I've ever named.

I agree, at least one Ibanez is a must-have.
