Ok, about two years ago I played a mini jubilee with the 2x12 jubilee cabinet at Sam Ash. I wasn’t that impressed as I had just played a 2203 and a 4100dr nxt to it both with 1960 b cabinets. I played bth strats and les paul through the at mini Jub . At that time it sounded fizzy and lacking depth.

Today, same Sam Ash,I played a USA 2018 Gibson SG with 490 pickups and went and played the Jubilee mini and 2x12 jub cabinet. It sounded great. It did not sound fizzy as was my first impression. In fact when I cranked it about 8 i could feel the volume welling up and hit a chord and it sounded glorious. Full sound and I the volume adjustments were very precise versus my JCM800 and 900. I can see how teh mini is a bit more small gig friendly.
I like the Jubilee sounds and may have one in my future but might be a Ceriatone version.

But every amp I played that SG into sounded great.
I literally played that guitar through 5 amps( 2203,4100, 2525, Origin 50, TwinReverb) and had them up at a good volume.

So, I now look to try out a 50 and 100 watt Jubilee.

    Rock on!

Sounds like maybe you buy an SG with the 490/498 pickups!

That’s a hell of a great price, in 2018 I bought a 2017 faded SG with the 490 pick up combo, for $778 out the door, it’s my go to guitar, and it sounds awesome.
    Cheers Mitch

Mitchell, does your gear suffer from living in the garage due to outside temperature / humidity changes? I leave gear in my garage during summer months also but always feel I could be doing harm, thanks.

Being in SoCal, it is mostly dust, other than that I have no issues.

Add to Mitch's hard rocking tones !;)
Marshalls in tandem are dialed in just right
And SG's do sing in that long Cali night

If your thinking about the Jub style amps from Ceriatone call this guy and ask about the 2525 Mini-Jub. http://www.guitarampsusa.com/ He thinks it's the best amp ever and has one himself. It's a very versatile amp and it's only about $740 for the head, and $925 for the combo - speaker. (They also have different colors to choose.) I bought a Chupacabra 50w Ceriatone and love it, any new amp I get will come from them as well.
