Took me forever to finally get a full stack, then all of the sudden i had 3 of them. For a while they were pretty expensive then all of the sudden people started selling 4X12s cheap. I slowly pieced em together finding each cabinet one at a time. I have a 900 stack with 2 1960s

Then found 2 of the Vintage Modern cabinets 425A&B then i found a stack of those over sized mode 4 cabinets MF400A&B

Only the 425A&B are stock the other cabinets i found empty and then saved speakers and put in the other cabients. The MF400s have the V30/G12T75 mix and the 900s have 80s vent G12T75s and G65s

The thread title sounds like the confessional at the beginning of AA meetings.

The hearing thing is real. 100W head and those V30s and I’ve got 18% hearing loss in my left ear now. Age 48. Just happened one day after letting it loose with the amp and stack for about 10 minutes. Woke up and noticed it right away. That was last year. Constant reminder to watch out.

    Be careful bro. :)

    what did u say? that's funny .
you are only coming through in waves, your lips move but i can't hear what you're saying : )
    nice poem !
lets see some photos of all those stacks!
what happens if you pair a high gain amp with super hot pickups?
a jcm 800 is a high gain amp huh? would u consider a dimarzio crunch lab a super hot pickup?
Hi my name is exotic ,and i own a marshall full stack .
    hello exotic ... *~*
so any stack owners have any advice or stories about how to stack it up and bring it back down without getting hurt or damaging the amp?
or stuff like if u step on the patch cord and the head starts to fall forward don't try to catch it!
or would u put a full stack right by your bed in california?
thanks for the kind words and the hearing loss advice .

what are some pros and cons of having 2 cabs with different speakers in them? (1 1960BV WITH 4 70 waTT vintage speakers and a jcm 900 with 4 75 WATT g12t-75)

You may like the blend of the sound of different speakers. For example, one of Eddie Van Halen's rigs included a Marshall 4x12 bottom loaded with two Greenbacks and two JBL D120Fs. Check out Johan Segeborn's youtube channel and find the video where he demos this exact setup. It sounds awfully famiiar.

Even at AA, that stack is not a problem, when full. It is when it is empty that it becomes a problem.

I have high frequency (>12Khz) hearing loss in my right ear as a result of damage from military service.

Shit happens! We only live once. Turn it on eleven. :shred::band:

    very interesting .
so here's how it looked in the back seat of a 2012 honda accord on the way home . it looked small in there and in pretty good condition so for $152.00 i was just a tad suspicious but when i took it out and measured it and compared it to my chinasaur avt412 i felt much better .sounded pretty good with the solid state head pictured on the half stack .but still repairing the torn tolex ,so no full stack photo yet .
anyone ever put a 4x12 cab in the back seat ? i had no idea a honda accord could transport an entire full stack !see that half stack there ? avt412 and a 100 watt valvestate vs100 . thinking of selling it for 100 bucks ,u think that's fair or should i try to sell it better ,higher ? oh btw ,thank you for your service!

hey thanks for that ,wow u did pretty good then .
so that's a solid state head with one tube? similar to the valvestate vs100. how about the cab is it a chinosaur?
more like a avt412 than a 1960a right? so yeah i don't want to sell it for a hundred bucks ,i think i should think this over a bit ..
hey i just noticed it's been over a year ,i thought i just got here (on the forum)
u guys have taught me alot .

I had another one that I sold as a full stack, and I had also sold a MG 100fx half stack, they all went to good homes and are being played daily, here they where just sitting, they all sound really good
    but were not getting played!
    So I sold them!
    Cheers Mitch
