All rhythm parts tracked straight into a bone stock 2555 reissue. JHS angry charlie on the solos with digitech WHammy pedal on sub octave setting.

recorded with Les Paul custom shop Floyd Rose. Jackson DKM2 in the video.

Now that sounds excellent. Great playing by all. And great vocals. Killer song. Should have won a Grammy compared to all that crap last night.

:) well that is very encouraging. Thank you very much!
I attended the Grammys a few years back and it was actually a pretty killer night for rock and blues. Tributes to the Eagles, BB king, David Bowie, and performance by the Hollywood Vampires. Didn’t realize how good I had it...

Did you boost it at all for the rhythm parts?

Rhythm parts are double tracked, but direct to amp. input gain and output master are on 10. I use the lead master to control the volume. Seem to get more gain and breakup that way.

I have never tried running mine with gain on full. I will have to give that a shot. Thanks for replying.

you got it. The EQ is also pretty much wide open, starting at the presence knob 8 or higher

I think I tried it once but it sounded muddy. That was before I realized that the gain level effects the EQ curve. The gain being ful makes that amp thick.

Which is the exact reason I love this amp so much with it's full rich sound . Using Fender amps up until when I got my 2555X made me realize how thin my tone used to be and why I was always buying every distortion/overdrive pedal trying to thicken the tone .

Yes and it really doesn’t feedback much at all. There is a low end girth that I can’t get without of maxed
