Damnit you guys …… you’re all gonna make me spend more money on stuff !!!!
Nice! That's larger than a small club here!! I get to play a, well, basically a pub on Ftiday. Sadly it's a quiet room. Fun though
Yeah, very cool club, 4-500 audience usually, with people there to listen to live music, so very reactive, which always is cool ! We also play pubs occasionally (moving away from those, as they don't pay well, and they're quite small, with little "stage" area). But we drag an audience with us, so even though it sometimes is a slow start, it alkways ends up quite lively. Can't complain
This summer will be 90% outdoors bigger stages, so pretty nice as well.
Didn't like the SV I tried but I can sure see why it replaced a DSL
Ok please explain this because you’re the first one to say anything like this! I’m not challenging you on your opinion, not at all, I don’t even own this amp. I’m just wondering what you don’t like?
I don’t on one yet either . I will never buy a amp I can not play first . There are a lot of opinions here . I had herd nothing but good about the 40c when it came out. I had one for more than a year , many people have made them sound good I did not. Possibly didn’t try hard enough . On the opposite end of the spectrum , nearly everyone hated the JCM DR but that amp with 5881 is the one I should have kept. I bought it so cheap and it worked great .
I don't see the SV as a DSL replacement, two totally different animals. Care to explain?
Youre missing out on a lot then, all you need is a good return policy, I've been through so many amps in recent years its insane and didn't keep a single one.
Ive owned every Marshall model made including many vintage.
The SV gives me the best tone ever.
To me DSL's suck. Ive heard SS amps with better tone.
I love my SV20H, can't wait to get an SC20H!
Yeah I'm not a DSL fan either, I dont know why Marshall hasnt taken a plexi and made it to do everything, kind of like take a plexi and give it the DSL features, 2 channels, gain, master volume, effects loop, it would be so cool, they kind of keep trying with different models but always miss the mark, they dont need anything new and new models they just need to reinvent the old tones that we know and love. I'm hoping I love my SV when I get it!
I'm pretty certain I'm gonna love my SV20H! ...whenever the fook I'm gonna get it... I just noticed MF backed up the delivery date from June 16 to June 26. I ordered mine from Sweetwater and the salesdude there has no idea when they will hit. But I DO love my JVM205H and have been playing it more lately to get me through these waiting days!
I now but right now it’s not in the cards. I want a classic and a vintage but when the smoke clears I might just give it a shot . To many priorities right at this moment unless I move the Explorer.
I’ve been screaming for this since the limited run of the yjm 100. They should also do a super 800
So what exactly is/was the Super 800 to be?
I have the Mini Jubilee combo and the SC20 head. I'm playing the head through a 2x12 with new Greenbacks in it, and also through a 1x12 Orange cab with V30. It sounds better through the Orange cab, but the Greenbacks need to break in.
Overall, the Jube is definitely more versatile, and still my #1 amp. I love the SC also, both amps totally rock!
A friend of mine has the SV20 combo. In July, we're going to get together for a jam at his house, and compare all 3 of them! I can't wait!
Same here. I ordered one May 3rd at Musicians Friend. They gave me 15% off plus I got another 8% in Back Stage Pass Points for a future buy. They told me it would ship by June 10. I was happy about all so I pulled the trigger. Then they updated me a week later and said by June 3. Now they are saying June 19th. I looked and every shop I checked have them on back order and none had recent reviews for 3-4 months. So the wait continues.
Just checked Anderton’s in UK. Back ordered to mid-July.
SV combo rocks through my mini Jube combo and its louder some then the SV with a broken in GB. My mini jube is still pretty new so breaking in will take more time. The jube is underrated I guess everyone thinks 800 before the Jube because they were around longer and lots used them. They goosed it for more gain but the Jube is all set for that plus a great crunch channel and cleans.
Oh Yeah, we are going to rock all 3 in the music room! Absolutely love my SV20C! Real Happy with the Tones!!!
Fell in love with my jube again after owning it for two years by getting the matching 2x12 cab yesterday. Its a thing of beauty to look at and sounds even better.
