I always wonder if some of this stuff is just fake and some one made a good replica. I know this one isn't but some of the stuff.

Its kind of funny you mention that, because Steve Marriott used a Marshall PA head with his stack,
i was just watching some old Faces Videos on Youtube.
And the guy selling that speaker cab said there were only 6 made four for the WHO
    and two for the Faces

And only a handfull of dual OT's were made. The first ones for The Who and The Small Faces.

The story goes that the Who's roadies complained about the weight of these cabinets and they were subsequently sawn in half at Jim Marshall's workshop in Hanwell to create the now standard 4 x 12 half-stack cabinets. As to the origin of this cabinet on Ebay you only have to ask Jim Marshall or Pete Townshend to verify it before spending all that money, as they were made for him in the first place...

i have sent the photos through a friend to a mate of Pete's to find out!

I don't think this was a Who cab. Could be a Steve Marriot cab, with changed speakers, changed grillcloth, and maybe other changes?

The Who used their 100w stacks with dual OT's and 8x12 for the first time in
November '65. My quess is that all dual OT's and 8x12 cabs were made in that month.

Could you ask Pete Townshend if they left some amps in Sweden on one of their '66 tours? It's a story here that says so.
That would explain how my amp ended up in Scandinavia.
