    Hello,

Got to decide witch amp I should keep. I play only at home.. and I don't need the Power, but it is so hard to choose.

I tought to sell my JCM 900 50 watt with EL34 and the 1960 A & B.. didn't play it for a half year. Put it on the internet for sale. Dis morning I thought.. lets power it up and play it... Man, I like it a lot.

Than there is that other rig.
Marshall JMP 1 with digitech gsp 1101 en TC G-force and 1922 CAB en EL84 poweramp. I played that for half a year.. sound good to..

It drives me nuts.. 1 has to go.. but witch one??

    Help me Decide please!!

    ...or a kidney.

Join a band so you can crank up that 900 and earn a little cash to prevent you having to sell either.

If you absolutely have to, sell the rest of your rack gear but keep the jmp1 preamp.

I know I regret it.. But someone is (you know ho) is saying.. Why do you need two amps... You can't play them both at the same time.. they are ugly and take a lot of space...

    Mmmm ...

Well... you can play them both at the same time and is the finest piece of furniture you can ever own.

I got hammered once, "why do yo need that amp you're not in a band"
I took a chance and said "No I'm not, but it looks like I am don't it"
Things were rough for a couple of days but she settled down.

If someone had a gun to my head I couldn't let the 900 stack go.

I chopped and changed my hobbies all my life, Motocross, Guitar, Archery, Photography, Mountain biking, Metal work, Fishing.
All back and fourth. Still have Fishing, Guitar, Photography, and now I like recording and mixing as well, Hey I forgot field recording.
The Fishing is good because me and my wife both like it and use our boat like a caravan, We have stayed on it for almost a week without going ashore.
I take the camera and sometimes the field recorder, If those things won't fit your life (Or from what I read both of your lives) right now, its probably best to let them go.
Its not imposible to start again later if you want. I have.

    Woman or guitar?

    Guitar.

Its not that dramatic.. just not in the livingroom. The garage is all mine!

If I say Guitar ... I know what I will hear..

So you attach more to material then to me hey...

Better not go there. Avoiding this to the garage. Mancave it will be.

Yes many of us have been on the slippery slope, I quit and sold everything in 1983, when my youngest son was born, picked it back up in 1990 - 94 sold everything again, I have always had a hobby, in 2007 I came back, I now have more amps than I have ever had in my life, and I told the other half, this is what makes me happy, it’s all in the garage, and none of it is going anywhere

You are going to wish that you kept it later on.
    Maybe not today,
    Maybe not tomorrow, but someday.

Even though likely impractical, you CAN certainly use two amps at once! :dude: I don't think your other half could claim the same for her shoes? :p Though I think if you mention that, you'll be learning a lot about how Fido lives!:nutkick:

This is heresy but you don’t need a stack for home use. Sell the cabs and buy a 2 X 12 cab that will work with both your amps. A small cab is still loud enough for any gig you would ever do and will still be loud enough to piss all your neighbors off. It won’t take up as much room and the wife will be happy. BTW, I have about 10 amps and a girlfriend who doesn’t complain about my hobbies (another possible solution to your problem).

It is an impossible mission. Like choosing between a hart or your longs. Sometime I feel like playing fullstack.. then there are times I wan't that rack. Now I can affort the rack I always wanted as a kid.. that fullstack is maybe a dickextention for me.. but that sound drives me wild..whoehoe... maybe thatone has to go.... but then again no.. maybe I might sneek in the house through the cats door and have nothing to say in the house anymore..in a few year. Haha

Here’s an idea. Whatever you want to part with now I’m happy to let you “store” it at my house. Then if you decide you want the other for a while come by and switch them out.

This way to don’t have to get rid of anything but you can free up some space at home - the best of both worlds. Oh, and if the tubes have some additional hours on them I’m sure I’ll know nothing about that ;)
