It’s for a 1976 JMP master model. One of my electro harmonix 6550s just kicked the bucket today. They sounded pretty ok. Kinda pissed off and imposing. I know JJs are kinda dark like that too. Anyone have any experience with these 6550s.

Never used them but I know people who did always seem to say very positive things as the tube industry disintegrated. I would give them a try when my old sets of Tung Sol's go out.

When my old GE 6550s finally wear out, I'm putting in Sovtek 6550WEs, which seem to be as reliable as any tube that is in current production.

Valvelust. What do you mean about the tube industry? Did a bunch of companies go under or something ?. I haven’t had to buy tubes in a while.

Yes they did as the demand for tubes diminished.
Most all replicas if you can call them that are made in Russia.

How long did it last? I've had a GE that tanked after a few weeks - vacuum leak.
